Emojicon will take place on November 4-6 in San Francisco at the California College of the Arts. It will be a fun event with lots of emoji-related activities, including Emoji Charades, Emoji Spelling Bee and an Emoji Film Festival.

Among the exhibitors at Emojicon: Timberland (which will have emoji tattooed boots), GE's Emoji Science Fair, Taco Bell's emoji taco truck, Panda Express. We're looking for lots of emoji-related vendors to make it fun and exciting.

Let us know what you are interested in doing at Emojicon. We want to make Emojicon accessible to all budgets, so we can give scholarships and discounts in exchange for donations of volunteering.
Emojicon is a community-driven event for the people, by the people, that first took place in San Francisco in November 2017.
We invite the Emojicon community to join us in developing the program for Emojicon, including Emoji Learn, our panels, workshops and discussion track and Emoji Play, our art and interactive exhibit space.

Proposals may be on a variety topics related to emoji. Emojicon is an inclusive and welcoming environment and encourages diverse participation and speakers.

Emoji Play suggestions may include emoji art installations, demos or fun interactive exhibits. Be creative and use your imagination!

Emoji Learn suggestions may include technical discussions, workshops, talks on emoji policy, arts, culture and society.

Do you want to impact billions of phones around the world? Help create an emoji proposal!
We are looking for writers and designers.

If you didn't already know. Emoji are regulated by the Unicode Consortium. Here is how you submit a proposal.

We're looking for emoji-loving savvy writers to help us put together proposals. We especially would love help in the following areas: animals, science, food, musical instruments, and others.

Our goal is to open up the emoji submission process. Our members have written emoji proposals for BASEBALL CAP, BROCCOLI, PRETZEL and SANDWICH in the latest batch. They have been interviewed in the press.

Fill out this form. We need your help!

We believe emoji should be built by people with different backgrounds and perspectives. We welcome women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ community and others who identify with underrepresented groups. We’d love to have a diverse, comfortable creative environment for everyone!
The first-ever Emojicon — a celebration of all things emoji — took place Nov 4-6, 2016 in San Francisco, California.

We need volunteers to help organize our next one! Which will likely take place in fall 2017.

This community-driven event cannot be done without the support of people like you!

We need all sorts of help: from event logistics, to organizing speakers, to finding sponsors.

To volunteer at the event please complete the form below. We'll be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis and will be in contact as we review them.

Volunteers who are accepted into the program will receive limited free registration to Emojicon.
